Our story begins in 2004, when the Department of Occupational Medicine of the University of Parma manifested the need to solve a problem related to the cooling of a collection system for laboratory analysis. In this regard, Carlo Valesi is involved. At that time he was Director of a company that dealt with refrigeration in the beverage sector, but stimulated by the novelty of the project, accepts the proposal to study a solution: so he begins the collaboration with the technicians of the Laboratory of Parma.

Together with his son Andrea, who was the designer within the company, develop the first prototype of a device for the collection of Exhaled Breath Condensate (EBC) using thermoelectric technology.

Later, due to the need to differentiate the products offered and by commercial choice, in 2009 the current MEDIVAC was founded in Parma.
