Collection of exhaled
breath condensate (EBC)

represents one of the most promising and simple methods for the non-invasive collection of samples of lung disease markers that may be associated with lung inflammation.

“Turbo DECCS System”
is designed to facilitate the collection of exhaled breath condensate (EBC) samples. It is the most comprehensive, flexible, easy-to-use and cost-effective system available on the market.

Pilot Study Kit, for Starting EBC collections in respiratory research

Collect EBCs for tests or preliminary investigations, Medivac has developed a solution called the ‘Pilot Study Kit’ to refrigerate the test tube for collecting EBC samples.
With a low initial cost, it is then possible to start a few evaluation tests to verify the results using EBC samples in the research of interest.

New Turbo 23 Gold the Cooler Device for EBC Sampling

TURBO stands for ‘Transportable Unit for Research of Biomarkers Obtained’ (see also acronym DECCS), and the number that follows indicates the model and the year in which it was introduced onto the market.
It is a self-contained thermoelectric cooling device (Peltier effect) for cooling the tube. It does not require any external cooling source. It is a compact, lightweight, silent and portable instrument in its robust, impact-resistant suite housing, with long-lasting reliability.
The Only Transportable Device also Powered by Battery.

New Alveolar Air Valve
AAV 23 Gold

AAV is the acronym for “Alveol Air Valve” and it is specifically designed and manufactured to improve the research and study of the Exhaled Breath, enabling the collection of alveol air sample, excluding the portion of air relating to the upper respiratory tract (dead spaces).
The only one device for CO2 Detection in EBC.

New DECCS 23 Circuits
for Samples Collection

DECCS, acronym of “Disposable Exhaled Condensate Collection System”, are the disposable circuits for the collection of EBC samples: their modular and functional design make them different from any other product on the market and unique for their simplicity and versatility.

Features of the System

SINGLE USE

The components have been designed and manufactured through plastic injection (neutral granules of a medical grades PE-HD or PP) without releasing contaminants and with a very low water absorption. They are particularly adapted for research of metals in exhaled air

LOW BACTERIOLOGICAL RISK

Single use components reduces the risk of residual contamination by disinfectants or, even worse, by viruses and bacterias.

FLEXIBILITY OF USE

The constructive composition of the DECCS meets the specific needs of individual researchers. Quick to assemble and transport, its ease-of-use allows for very short working times.

HIGH VOLUME

DECCS systems are carefully designed for efficiency. A special trap for saliva, yelds a greater collection of condensate, while at the same time guarantees an infinitesimal risk of saliva contamination of the collected samples.

TRANSPORTABILITY

the System is light, compact, and easily transportable, making it ideal for Occupational Medicine.

METABOLOMICS DIAGNOSIS OF
COVID-19 FROM EBC

Infection from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) can lead to severe respiratory tract damage and acute lung injury. Therefore, it is crucial to study breath-associated biofluids not only to investigate the breath’s biochemical changes caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection, but also to discover potential biomarkers for the development of new diagnostic tools.

THE MEDIVAC
PILOT STUDY KIT

A portable, simple, flexible and economical device that uses external cooling sources to carry out preliminary studies on EBC collection with the advantage that the Pilot Study kit uses the same DECCS circuits as the Turbo electronic condenser.

NEW DECCS 19:
AAV-CO-VOCs e
AAV-CO-EBC+VOCs

Are now available the final and updated Disposable circuits for VOCs sampling or for EBC+VOCs sampling at the same time

MEDIVAC has created a small measuring instrument, called VOLMET 20

Assuming constant operating conditions of the condenser, the volume exhaled at a time (i.e. minute volume) was identified as the most important factor for the EBC volume collected at a time.
