The study of the Exhaled Breath Condensate (EBC)
is constantly evolving and it represents one of the most promising method for the research on respiratory pathologies and for the study of conditions which may exist deep in the lung, because it contains compounds that reflect the biochemical lung activity, both in normal condition and in case of pathologies. Exhaled Breath Condensate (EBC) is a non invasive technique, simple to implement and cost effective.

“Turbo DECCS System”
has been designed and created for the purpose of making the collection of the Condensate in the Exhaled Air (CAE/EBC) easy, and it’s the most complete, flexible, easy to use and cost effective system nowadays on the market.

SINGLE
USE

The components have been designed and manufactured through plastic injection (neutral granules of a medical grades PE-HD or PP) without releasing contaminants and with a very low water absorption: they are particularly adapt for research of metals in the exhaled air

LOW BACTERIOLOGICAL
RISK

The use of single use components reduces the risks of residual contamination by disinfectants or, even worse, by virus and bacterias.

FLEIBILITY OF
USE

The constructive composition of the DECCS adapts to the specific needs of individual researchers; quick to assemble and transport are also very easy to use, allowing for very short working times.

HIGH
VOLUME

DECCS systems are carefully designed for efficiency; thanks to a special trap for saliva, they allow a greater collection of the condensate and at the same time guarantee an infinitesimal risk of saliva contamination of the collected samples.

METABOLOMICS DIAGNOSIS OF
COVID-19 FROM EBC

Infection from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) can lead to severe respiratory tract damage and acute lung injury. Therefore, it is crucial to study breath-associated biofluids not only to investigate the breath’s biochemical changes caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection, but also to discover potential biomarkers for the development of new diagnostic tools.

THE MEDIVAC
PILOT STUDY KIT

A portable, simple, flexible and economical device that uses external cooling sources to carry out preliminary studies on EBC collection with the advantage that the Pilot Study kit uses the same DECCS circuits as the Turbo electronic condenser.

NEW DECCS 19:
AAV-CO-VOCs e
AAV-CO-EBC+VOCs

Are now available the final and updated Disposable circuits for VOCs sampling or for EBC+VOCs sampling at the same time

MEDIVAC has created a small measuring instrument, called VOLMET 20

Assuming constant operating conditions of the condenser, the volume exhaled at a time (i.e. minute volume) was identified as the most important factor for the EBC volume collected at a time.
